Initial Post Instructions
Describe a hypothesis test study that would help your work or conclusions in some way. Describe what variable would be tested and what would be your guess of the value of that variable. Then include how the result, if the null were rejected or not, might change your conclusions or actions in some way.
Follow-Up Post Instructions
Respond to at least one peer. Further the dialogue by providing more information and clarification.
Writing Requirements

SOLUTION
Professor and Class,
Hypothesis testing according to Holmes et al (2018) focuses on evaluating how plausible an hypothesis is, by using a sample data. A hypothesis test study that would be helpful to my work would be assessing whether obesity is correlated with type 2 diabetes. From this, the null and alternative hypothesis for my study would be as follows:
H0: There is no correlation between obesity and type 2 diabetes
H1: There is a positive correlation between obesity and type 2 diabetes
The independent variable in this regard is obesity, while type 2 diabetes is the dependent variable. Rejecting the null hypothesis would be a clear indication that the study found out that there is a correlation between the two variables. As such, I would seek to suggest ways to address the obesity problem in efforts to minimize the chances of type 2 diabetes. Some of the recommended ways of addressing obesity include introducing a healthy balanced diet as well physical exercise. controlling the obesity rates would definitely play a role in reducing the cases of type 2 diabetes.
